FAQ
GLOBAL VISION, LOCAL PRODUCTION & LEGAL STANDARDS
What is the concept behind Joe Cojones?
Joe Cojones is an international art project and lifestyle brand. Our products are not conventional mass-market goods; they are categorized as contemporary art and social satire. We create works of art presented in the form of clothing, accessories, and everyday objects. We operate on a global scale, respecting international principles of free speech and artistic expression.
Is it true that everything is designed using free Google Drawings?
Yes. It is a core part of our rebellion against the pretentiousness of the design world. We do not use expensive professional software or AI. Every line and graphic is hand-drawn using a completely free tool. We want to prove that a great idea and "Cojones" are more important than thousands of dollars in software licenses. This is a zero-budget counter-strike against the design elite.
How does shipping work? Is it expensive or slow?
Quite the opposite. We ship worldwide, but we operate locally. We use a decentralized production model, meaning your product is manufactured as close to the delivery address as possible.
• Speed: Since the product is made near you, it arrives quickly.
• Price: Local manufacturing ensures affordable (and often customs-free) shipping costs.
• Eco-friendly: Shorter transport distances mean a smaller carbon footprint. We don’t fly products across oceans unnecessarily; we prioritize local production.
We utilize an extensive global network with production hubs in North America, Europe, Australia, South America, and Asia.
Is the use of parody legal internationally?
Yes. The right to parody and satire is a fundamental right in most constitutional states. Our works are designed to avoid any "Likelihood of Confusion." We don’t copy; we comment.
• Europe: EU Directive 2001/29/EC and national laws permit parody.
• USA: Protected under the Fair Use doctrine, which safeguards creative work that comments on or criticizes an original work.
• Australia: The Fair Dealing exception explicitly permits the use of copyright material for parody or satire (Copyright Act 1968, Section 41A).
• South America: Many countries, such as Brazil (Law 9.610, Art. 47), recognize the right to create original parodies.
• Asia: Across major markets like Japan and Singapore, the concepts of Fair Dealing and constitutional protections for artistic expression safeguard the use of satire.
• Global Context: We operate under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 19) and the Berne Convention, ensuring that our creative work remains a transformative commentary on culture.
Can I send a product directly as a gift?
Absolutely. Because our production is decentralized, you can order a gift for a friend on the other side of the world, and it will be manufactured and shipped locally within their region. It’s fast, cheap, and effortless.
Who carries the responsibility?
Joe Cojones takes full responsibility for all its works and their content globally. Legal responsibility does not transfer to our retailers or exhibition partners. We are committed to defending artistic freedom and the right to parody – with "Cojones" leading the way.
THE LONDON CITY JURIDICAL IMMUNITY (THE CROWN JEWEL)
Why does Joe Cojones operate from London? Because London is the global capital of fashion, power, and high-tier mockery. Joe Cojones is part of the Turnew Ltd portfolio (Company No. 15824175), officially headquartered at 65 London Wall, London. We didn't choose this address just to look sharp in a suit; we chose it because UK law is a parody’s best friend.
What does "Section 30A" mean? It’s our "get out of jail free" card. The British Copyright Law (Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, Section 30A) provides explicit and robust protection for works created for the purposes of caricature, parody, or pastiche. By combining this with the prestige of the London financial district, we achieve what we call "bulletproof satire." We don’t apologize—we lean on British law and sip our tea while others worry.
In short: We are an officially registered British Ltd. We design our products using free Google Drawings, but we defend them with the legal audacity of the City of London. God save the Parody.
"Nobody wins anything, nobody loses anything" – What does it mean?
It is our promise that this is not a traditional marketing machine. We offer a moment of insight, humor, and a piece of fearless art. You get the product; we get the chance to keep this project alive. It’s an honest draw.
Joe Cojones is a contemporary art project using parody and satire as a medium. All works are created under the protection of free speech and copyright exceptions for parody.
